Peda (ಫೇಡ) is the most easiest to prepare of all the other Indian Sweets.Kesar (Saffron) gives not only a slight yellowish color to the Peda but also makes it very tasty.I am using Badam (Almonds) for decoration.
Here goes the recipe.

- Milk Powder- 3 Cups
- Sugar - 3/4 Cup
- Whole Milk - 300 ml
- Elaichi Powder(Cardamom)- 1 Tsp
- Saffron- A few strands (Soaked in Whole Milk)
- Almond Pieces- For Decoration
- Ghee- 1/2 tsp for greasing the plate
Preparation:
- Take a microwave safe dish and add milk powder,sugar,cardamom powder and mix well.
- Now add the whole milk along with the saffron and slowly mix.
- Place this bowl in the microwave for 3 minutes.
- Remove from microwave and mix well.You will notice the mixture becoming watery.
- Place the bowl in the microwave again for another 3 minutes.
- Please Note you are placing this mixture in the microwave for a total of 6 minutes.
- Now you could make small balls of the mixture and place it in a greased tray.
- Decorate them with sliced almonds.
